We at the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences are committed to the cause of upholding the high values of Dental Education and are imparting quality education to the students and building their all round character.
With an aim to provide quality dental education in the specialty subjects the management and faculty of the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences endeavours to graduate Dentists who will serve not only our country but also all humanity.
Bolstering our commitment is our scenic well laid-out totally self-contained campus in the beautiful Coorg district of Karnataka.
To ensure total and undivided attention of the teacher so that the student can realize her/ his full academic potential we have limited the intake of students to 40 in every batch at the undergraduate level.
Further, we have evolved a unique system to ensure qualitative pursuit of academics as well as overall character development of the student.
- Each batch of 10 students is allocated a responsible senior member of the faculty as a counselor, who is a friend-philosopher-guide for the student through the academic career at the Institute.
- We conduct monthly evaluation to help the student learn more effectively and also get support in comparatively difficult subjects.
- An academic council, comprising of senior academicians from the field, evaluates the results and performance of the student.
- Students requiring academic guidance in specific subjects are identified and special attention is given to them. The counselor takes over the academic guidance and plays the role of mediator between the student and the concerned faculty.
