Located on the hills of Malithelere, stands the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences. Started in the month of September 1999, and from that day onwards there has been a steady growth. The college has matured and developed from a college rendering undergraduate studies to a post graduate institute as to what it is now.
Under the guidance of the managing trustee, Principal, faculty and the students we have formed a committee to work towards beginning of a new alumni association, the “CIDS AA”.
Then began the task of collecting the addresses and contact numbers of all former students, sending invites to all of these ex students. After thorough planning, the first meet of the association was held in august 2009 at the College—a rendezvous which has brought a feeling of joy to all the students as this could give us an opportunity to meet students who had left the college years ago..
The Association registered itself with the sub Registrar office, Virajpet. The alumni association is now a registered body as the Alumni Association of Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences, Virajpet. This helps us now to raise funds for the benefit of the association and pursue the goals of a responsible alumni association. The constitution has been approved at the Special General Body meeting.
